About the Author
About Julien Moe Julien Moe’s story begins in Burma, where he was born and raised. At Rangoon University, he majored in English and was appointed president of the Rangoon University Catholic Students’ Union. After fleeing to Thailand, Moe received a Fulbright Scholarship from the U.S. government in 1991 and pursued studies in journalism and political science. His connection to Burma remained strong: he wrote, edited, and produced three documentary films about his homeland, bringing its stories to a wider audience. In 2012, Moe founded Moe Corporation (JULIEN MOE LLC), where he serves as CEO. Today, he lives in New York with his family and practices counseling psychology. His journey across countries, callings, and turning points informs Beyond Burma, a work of biographical historical fiction inspired by his life.
